Finally.. App-V is getting an overhaul and moving away from the Softricity-isms of the past (no more Q drive!!!). Does this mean that App-V will finally become a mainstream way to deliver applications? Well, it's moving in that direction. I think that the App-V overhaul plus the inclusion of UE-V (user profile virtualisation) indicates that Microsoft is starting to become serious about the idea that a unified environment of physical, virtual and session-hosted desktops is absolutely something that is of value in today's I.T landscape.
